Guru Bites

Don’t let the simplicity of this dish fool you.  Master the technique and you will be rewarded with one of the best tasting dishes you can cook.

Cast iron is definitely the way to go here, but a thick bottomed stainless-steel pot would work.

Ingredients:

¼cup + 2tablespoons Olive oil

1large White onion (peeled, thinly sliced)

2lbs. Yukon gold, or russet potatoes

1lb. Ribeye steak

1lb. Pork tenderloin

1lb. Zucchini noodles

Louisiana Love Seasoning Blends to taste

Method:

Place a cast iron pan over a medium fire for 4-5 minutes.

Add ¼cup olive oil and onions. Stir to coat, season with about a teaspoon of Louisiana Love, and cook until dark brown, then remove leaving the oil.

Place potatoes in the same pan, season with a teaspoon of Louisiana Love and cook until tender and well browned.

Place a large cast iron pan over a high fire for 4-5 minutes.

Cut the ribeye and pork loin into 1½” pieces, coat with remaining oil, and season with Louisiana Love.

Add the meat to the pan, allow to brown, then stir and brown on all sides.

Note: Total cooking time should not exceed 5-6 minutes.

Add potatoes and onions to the meat pan, stir in the zucchini noodles, allow to rest for 5 minutes and serve.

Get creative….grape tomatoes, asparagus, fennel, mushrooms, yellow squash, almost anything will go perfectly with this incredible dish.

Stay hungry!
