This very simple recipe relies on two things, fat content and beef flavor.
Brisket provides incredible flavor and plenty of fat for a good mixture, and nothing says beef flavor like round. Combine these two in equal amounts and add 25-30% fat by weight.
1lb. ground brisket + 1lb. ground round + 4-6 ounces of beef fat depending on your taste.
Add 1 cup of fresh bread crumbs with ½cup of whole milk, and 1 egg.
Season well with Louisiana Love, and you have the best burger ever.
Breads and Topping:
Crusty ciabatta, or soft potato rolls. You really can’t go wrong. Experiment to find your favorite, and top your burger with anything you like!
Avocados, fried eggs, peanut butter, garlic aioli, spicy mustard, and anything else is fair game.
